TicketBlox makes it easy for event promoters to pay affiliates, partners, venues using multi-party splits.

The Challenge Every Event Promoter Faces

As an event promoter, you know the value of strong partnerships. Whether you're working with marketing affiliates, venue partners, talent agents, or production companies, these relationships are essential to your success. But managing payments to these partners? That's been a nightmare.

Before: Manual tracking, spreadsheet calculations, wire transfers, and the constant back-and-forth of "How much did we make together?" Now, TicketBlox handles it all automatically—with complete transparency and zero manual intervention.

Introducing Event-Level Revenue Distribution

We've built a powerful new feature that lets you automate partner and affiliate payments right at the event level. Set it up once when creating your event, and TicketBlox handles everything else—from calculation to transfer, from tracking to reporting.

How It Works

1. Set Up Your Distribution Rule

When creating or editing an event, you can configure a revenue distribution rule that automatically routes a percentage of each ticket sale to your partner's Stripe account.

2. Automatic Calculation

When customers purchase tickets, TicketBlox automatically:

- Calculates your partner's share based on the percentage you've configured

- Creates a payout record linked specifically to that event

- Tracks everything in your financial ledger

3. Queued Transfers with Protection

To protect both you and your partners from chargebacks and disputes, transfers are automatically queued for 24 hours after payment succeeds. This gives us time to handle any issues before funds are moved.

4. Automatic Execution

After the 24-hour hold period, transfers execute automatically. No manual intervention needed—your partners receive their payments on schedule, every time.

5. Full Transparency & Reporting

Every payout is tracked in your Event Earnings reports, giving you complete visibility into:

- Gross application fees collected

- Total partner/affiliate transfers

- Your net earnings after partner payments

Why Event-Level Configuration Matters

We could have built this at the payment processor level, but that wouldn't work for most promoters. Here's why event-level configuration is the right approach:

Flexibility Per Event

- Each event can have its own partner arrangements

- Use the same payment processor for events with partners and events without

- Different partners for different events? No problem.

Proper Attribution

- Multi-event checkouts are handled correctly—each event's line items use that event's distribution rule

- Partners are paid based on their specific event's sales

- Earnings reports show accurate attribution per event

No Mixing of Sales

- Events with partner payments don't mix with events without them

- Clear separation ensures accurate accounting and reporting

Real-World Example

Let's say you're running three events this month:

- Summer Music Festival: 7% to your marketing partner

- Comedy Night: 5% to the venue partner

- Workshop Series: No partner payments

You create all three events, configure the distribution rules, and you're done. When customers purchase tickets:

- Multi-event checkout with all three? Each event's rule applies independently to its line items.

- Summer Festival tickets only? 7% automatically goes to your marketing partner.

- Workshop tickets? No partner payments—just your standard fees.

After 24 hours, transfers execute automatically. Your Event Earnings report for the Summer Music Festival shows:

- Gross Application Fees: $12,000 (includes your 5% fee + partner's 7%)

- Partner Transfers: $7,000 (automatically sent)

- Your Net Earnings: $5,000 (what you keep)

The Transparency Advantage

Every transaction is tracked in your financial ledger with complete visibility:

- Real-time Payout Status: See which payouts are pending, queued, transferred, or reversed

- Automatic Reversals: If a refund happens, partner payments are automatically reversed proportionally

- Event-Level Reporting: Generate reports showing exactly how much went to partners vs. your earnings

- Audit Trail: Complete history of every payout, transfer, and reversal

Perfect For...

Marketing Affiliates

Set up a percentage split with your marketing partners. They get paid automatically based on ticket sales they helped generate—no monthly reconciliation needed.

Venue Partners

Work with venues that take a percentage? Configure it once per event and forget it. They'll receive payments automatically 24 hours after each sale.

Talent Agents

Managing payments to agents representing performers? Let TicketBlox handle the calculations and transfers while you focus on the show.

Production Companies

When partnering with production companies that take a cut of revenue, automate the entire process with full transparency on both sides.

Getting Started

Setting up automated partner payments is simple:

1. Connect Your Partner's Stripe Account

Use TicketBlox's Stripe Connect integration to securely connect your partner's account.

2. Configure the Distribution Rule

When creating or editing an event, set the percentage of ticket price to distribute (e.g., 7%).

3. Choose Additive or Split Mode

- Additive: Partner's percentage is added on top of your standard fee (your fee stays the same)

- Split: Partner's percentage comes out of your standard fee (you share your fee)

4. Done

That's it. Everything else is automated.

The Bottom Line

Stop spending hours each month calculating partner payments, sending wire transfers, and reconciling spreadsheets. TicketBlox's event-level revenue distribution automates the entire process while giving you complete transparency and control.

Set it and forget it—your partners get paid automatically, and you get accurate, real-time reporting. Focus on what you do best: creating amazing events.
